Honesty by KINGOFAXUM
This music video from Ethiopian-American artist, KINGOFAXUM, was shot at Sonne Studios in Baltimore, MD. Paying homage to the concept of “tizita” (Amharic for “nostalgia”), the music video uses an 8mm film effect to evoke feelings of reflection and remembrance. With the nod to the colors of the Ethiopian flag in the backdrop, and the touches of the past (film photos, digital handheld cameras) throughout, the video brings a lightness and warmth to “reflecting on the questions”. The video was directed by David Samuel, founder of Third World Vision, and features actress and model Camilla Nichols.
