Immigrant Dreams is a song by artist KINGOFAXUM (aka David Samuel, founder of Third World Vision), written and recorded in a small bedroom in Brooklyn, NY.

Yonas Rosario (Creative Director of Hade Alem) is the director and filmmaker behind the music video for Immigrants Dreams. When asked by David to create a video for this song, he decided to do what everyone in the pandemic was doing. He worked from home, employing his family, who were also of Ethiopian descent, to be in the video.

Shot on a Super 8mm Canon 310XL, Yonas Rosario uses this medium’s granularity to evoke that sense of longing for home that is present in KINGOFAXUM’s song.
